Former Clemson safety Van Smith is working out in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' rookie minicamp this week, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The Charlotte native, who declared for the pros as a junior, totaled 60 tackles (1.5 for loss) with a pass breakup and an interception as a junior, starting 13 of 14 games last season.

Over the last three seasons, including a second-team All-ACC campaign as a sophomore, Smith posted 190 tackles, eight tackles for loss, a quarterback pressure, four interceptions for 165 yards, three pass breakups, two caused fumbles and a recovered fumble in 1,644 snaps over 42 games (28 starts).

Former Clemson players on the Tampa Bay roster already are Chandler Catanzaro and Adam Humphries, who made the Bucs roster from a tryout.
