Five Tigers pick up preseason AP All-American honors

No. 1 Clemson had three first-team selections and five total honorees on the Associated Press preseason All-American team on Tuesday.

Sophomore Archie Griffin Award winner (national MVP) Trevor Lawrence was named first-team quarterback and was joined in offensive honors by Travis Etienne (first team), Justyn Ross (second team) and John Simpson (second team).

Linebacker Isaiah Simmons anchors the defensive side as a first-team selection.

Clemson tied Alabama with three first-team picks and had the most selections overall.
