Clemson ranked No. 1 in Way-Too-Early Top 25 Poll |
The confetti falling from Alabama's National Championship win over Georgia just ended and media pundits are already releasing their articles forecasting the 2018 College Football season.
USA Today Sports released their way-too-early Top 25 poll for 2018 on Tuesday morning and Clemson was ranked No. 1 on the list. "The Tigers aren’t going anywhere, as Dabo Swinney promised following the Sugar Bowl loss to Alabama," USA Today Sports said. "Swinney and his staff will bring back a senior starter at quarterback in Kelly Bryant, will again tout a deep stable of skill talent, will be stronger on the offensive front and will have a slight rebuild on defense behind star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence. Clemson will be the best team in the Atlantic Coast Conference and a heavy contender to recapture the national title." The Top 25 rankings included Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Wisconsin, Penn State, Oklahoma, Washington, Miami, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Auburn, Boise State, Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Florida State, LSU, Kansas State, Florida Atlantic, TCU, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, and Mississippi State.
