Clemson moves up in Coaches Poll |
Another chaotic weekend at the top of polls will mean quite the shift for the College Football Playoff Tuesday, as its No. 1 (Georgia), No. 3 (Notre Dame) and No. 6 (TCU) all fell by double-digits on the road.
But with the Coaches Poll No. 1 Alabama holding on at No. 18 Mississippi State, 31-24, the movement wasn’t all that drastic in that ranking Sunday. Miami vaulted four spots to No. 2 behind the Crimson Tide after rolling Notre Dame, 41-8, with Clemson next at No. 3, Wisconsin falling one spot to No. 4, and Oklahoma rounding out the top-5. Auburn moved to No. 6, up four spots, after dismantling Georgia, 40-17. The Bulldogs dropped to No. 7. With Virginia Tech's upset loss at Georgia Tech, they dropped out of the rankings, while NC State rounds out the ACC reps at No. 22.
