Clemson makes moves in AP, Coaches polls

Clemson moved up as much as five spots in the new top-25 rankings Monday.

The Tigers swept last week’s ACC slate by knocking off No. 19 UNC at home and then winning at Wake Forest, improving their record to 7-4 in road/neutral games.

The USA TODAY Coaches Poll vaulted Clemson five spots to No. 15, while the Associated Press Top-25 moved them up four spots to No. 16.

Brad Brownell’s Tigers own three wins over current top-25 teams in Ohio State (No. 14/16), UNC (No. 21/22) and Miami (No. 25).

The latest updated RPI rankings have Clemson at No. 4 overall and the NCAA Committee’s metrics average is just inside 14th (13.8).

CBS Sports Bracketology has one of a number of projections for Clemson as a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament currently.
