Clemson achieved something no other school did in last year |
The 'fun is in the winning' so Clemson must be having a ton of fun as of late.
Clemson is the only school in the nation to make the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Basketball Tournament (vs. Kansas), play in the NCAA Baseball Tournament (lost to Vandy), and reached the College Football Playoff (lost to Alabama) all in the same year. That's an impressive hat-trick for the Tigers. Clemson Basketball's 31-point second-round win over Auburn is the largest win margin for the Tigers in NCAA Tournament play (previous 13 vs. St. Mary's 1989) and the largest victory so far in this year's NCAA Tournament. The 25 wins by the Tigers this season is tied for a school record. No. 5 seed Clemson will next face No. 1 seed Kansas on Friday at 7:07 p.m. EST in the regional semifinals in Omaha, NE. The game will be televised nationally on CBS. If you are a Clemson fan and aren't enjoying this recent success, it might be time to hand in your fan card. Trust me, there are other schools even in the state of South Carolina that would die for this level of success nationally. This is one of the best times to be a fan in school history so just enjoy the ride.
