Clemson DL to redshirt because of back injury

Clemson freshman defensive lineman Logan Cash will redshirt announced by Dabo Swinney during Tuesday's media outing.

Cash has been dealing with a back issue since enrolling at Clemson in January.

"He's got a back injury and will have a procedure done," Swinney said. "He probably won't be true football ready till later in the season. He's a guy we will redshirt and get him healthy and take our time with him."

He was credited with 101 stops, 40.5 for loss, and a state-best 23.5 sacks in 2017.
