Alabama QB grateful for title loss to Clemson

by - Assoc. Editor -

A plethora of excuses have been flowing out of the Alabama camp this offseason since Clemson's 44-16 title beatdown over the Crimson Tide.

One player that seems to have come to terms that the Tigers won handily is Alabama standout quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

"I think it's good to both get the opportunity to win and have the opportunity to lose as well," he said Wednesday at SEC media days. "I know this sounds bad, but I'm glad I had that opportunity to feel a loss like that. What can you learn from winning? You can't learn as much. But when you lose, you start appreciating things a lot more, definitely in a different perspective, as well. So I'm kind of glad that we did [lose]. Many lessons have been learned from that loss."

Good job by Tua to understand life is just a constant learning process to come back stronger after overcoming obstacles. Sadly, some of his teammates and coaches need to follow his lead and stop with the excuses about Clemson.

Tagovailoa completed 22-for-34 passes for 295 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions against Clemson in the loss.
