2018 outfielder commits to Clemson

by - Assoc. Editor -

2018 outfielder Chris Ruckdeschel from Davie, FL (St. Thomas Aquinas) has committed to play at Clemson on Saturday according to his Twitter account.

"Extremely blessed and grateful to say that I have officially committed to play baseball at Clemson University!" Ruckdeschel posted.

Perfect Game Scouting Bio: Christopher Ruckdeschel is a 2018 OF/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Davie, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame which plays well. Retains looseness, solid runner and posted a 6.72 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball with athletic actions, full arm action through the back and an over-the-top slot, some effort at release but shows good zip to intended base when on top of release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide, bent knee stance at the plate with a high back elbow and does a nice job of staying balanced through swing. Quick hands with an inside path, creates nice torque in hips and can impact the ball with jump when on time. Movement to hands pre-pitch, utilizes a gap-to-gap approach.
