"I think part of what has made Clemson so successful is that they identify the right guys for their program that are going to fit within their culture, and then they develop those guys.

Highest graded class all-time was the Gators from 2011. Not much to show after they all left.

Plus, they grade by total points. Factors in the size of the class.

2020 will be a large class by Dabo standards, but still not as large as some of the top ranked classes. Clemson's class could set an unbelievable mark for average grade.

Not that it matters. The staff will still coach them up to "Best is the Standard"

It's crazy we only offered like 100 kids and other schools have offered like 400. The staff has a great ability to find potential and now with a couple of championships can hone in on the guys we really want/need even more. Such a great time to be a Tiger!

I think our coaches probably spend more time and do a better job evaluating than any other program in the country. By evaluating, as you point out, I mean we place more of an emphasis on fit with our program and our culture than almost anybody, as well as identifying talent that we can develop. The 5-star/4-star talent is obvious to almost everybody, and requires little evaluation.
