What game was Gus Malzahn watching?

#8 Auburn plays #17 TexA&M this weekend.

Pumping up this week's opponent - Malzahn said this week:

"A&M played Clemson....if you watched that game, the game was really a lot CLOSER than the score indicated."

What?? Was he watching LAST YEAR's game? Or polishing off that bottle of 12 year old bourbon he'd been saving?

If anything - - the score was not truly indicative of CU's dominance in that game.

Gus and I did NOT see the same contest. The one I saw was "competitive" at times, but was basically 24-3 - if you're being honest - and aren't stacking shot glasses.

The SEC propaganda machine runs 24/7.

I think he is already setting up the talk track for a loss. If A&M brings their A-game, which I believe they will, I think they pull the upset on Saturday. They are a lot tougher at home and I don't think Bo Nix is the real deal yet.

A&M is a 3.5 point favorite. I know it's a home game for them, and that's usually worth 3 points, but I would hardly call it an upset if they win. Pretty much a pick'em.
