probably not many remember---or ever knew---Wake's old home stadium, Bowman-Gray, used to double as NASCAR track that was legendary in its own right.....

NASCAR, I haven’t watched a race in over 12 years. It still amazes me how quickly NASCAR leadership killed the sport and is too arrogant to admit their mistakes. I can’t remember the last time someone asked me about a race or the points standing, it use to be a daily conversation with customers.

You’d think with all the empty stands at the track and low TV ratings they’d reconsider all the rule changes and track closers.

I watched a number of football games at Bowman Gray and several Saturday night races. I remember Coach Howard's remark when Wake announced they were building a new stadium

Howard said "hell they can't even fill up the old one"!

Howard. And the Wake coach were very close as I recall
