Fields broke his middle finger on his throwing hand in the midde of his 38th designed run tonight...
No wonder this kid has 900+ yards on the ground 8 game into the season.

Looked like his index when he jumped up from the innocuous looking tackle.
Maybe it was the interlacing of the digital angles that skewed my judgement .

I lacerated my hand once trying to take a frozen beer mug out of my freezer . It slipped as I was pulling it off the rack and rather than try and catch it my already polluted mind decided to slap it back into the freezer .
It shattered , whereby my next move ...and clearly the worst in the sequence was to try and catch the flying pieces with my other hand .
Probably needed stitches . Eschewed the ER for another cool one ...but this time I just drank from the can holding it with a bloody dish towel .

our back up QB, Bobby Patterson, got tackled. He got up moaning and groaning, and then he LOOKED at his hand, whereby an IMMENSE yell burst forth. His index finger was at a right and to his middle finger. He could have done the Louisville signal without using his thumb. It was quite a sight. Coach McCorkle said ,"Let me see it" and before Bobby could say "No", coach had snapped that sucker back in place, they taped it up and he was good to go. Bobby ended up making it to the majors and pitched for the Pirates for about 10 years I think.

Really sorry about that. Might make it hard for him to catch slants and hooks at UGA.
