Clemson Golf Team in 10th after day 2 !!!!

Very proud of our Tiger golfers today. Only 7 teams posted a better score than the Tigers who shot a team score of +4. We’re 7 shots clear of the 15th placed team going in to tomorrow’s round before the 30 team field is cut to top 15.

Congratulations to Jacob Bridgeman who shot a +1 73. Our top gun Bryson Nimmer struck back firing a 71. But it was Colby, Kyle, and Jacob who have vaulted the Tigers to a solo 10th place.

Again, a day that the Tigers left a lot on the course and again today didn’t take full advantage of the par 5’s.

With your top gun at +6, coupled with our average at best play on the par 5’s, this scrappy bunch of Clemson men deserve a huge shoutout for what they’ve done in the last two days.... go get em tomorrow guys!!!! Getting er done!!!!!

How the early conditions help the leaders. If the first two rounds are indicative, any team within 10-15 strokes of spot #15 could get in...or bounced out. Believe there was rain overnight...will that help...or hinder?

It seems scores have been progressively worse as the days wore on. Should be a wild affair, but the Tigers will know their fate by early afternoon, it would seem.

Even SMU is about to give back everything they had earned. Auburn and Cal fell over 15 spots in the standings, yet they may still sneak back in. A war of attrition comes to mind...

Oh...and not sure if anyone noticed, but BYU had to play 36 holes yesterday...because...no competition on Sunday.
