fine. I recall that he was a highly recruited player...Alabama, Clemson, et al but he insisted he wanted to play QB. Give us credit for telling him he would not play QB at Clemson, and, maybe other big time schools told him the same. Obviously his reason for signing with USux was because he was promised he could play that position. That’s a lesson learned for him now...too late. Daptula, who I have said many times on this board that I do not like, but I have to give him some credit for some of his knowledge, said today that his only options are RB, receiver, or safety. He said he does not see him as a CB.

My question is, didn’t we, from the start, tell him we wanted him as a DB?

I believe the staff wanted him labeled as an “athlete” but I want to say I saw something on the board about him possibly being a safety.

Yes I believe the entire country along with Clemson recruited him as a DB.

Would he not be second string QB next year ? Hillinski will be the starter because that is what they promised his family. Don't know who else they have.

They expect to get Luke Doty in next years class at QB.

He's a really good one, and he'd be ours, if we hadn't moved into a completely different stratosphere in QB recruiting under Dabo.
