I did not add it up, but Notre Dame is an Independent not in the ACC. If that amount was carried over to the ACC then it would not be correct. Thanks for the Breakdown though!

When Notre Dame plays in a "New Year's Six" bowl, they keep the money. When they play in one of the ACC's bowls, the money goes into the ACC kittie and is then split 15 ways instead of 14. This year Notre Dame is part of the ACC bowl pool.

and only a portion of the bowl pool is split 15 ways. The Orange bowl, Playoff, and NY6 money is split 14 ways regardless of what ND does. They split money from the Citrus down if they participate in one of those bowls.

Not sure why there are 2 of these threads, but anyway...

I realized I forgot to give the Big Ten and Pac-12 credit for their Cotton Bowl money. The correct totals should have been:
ACC: $68,540,310
B1G: $61,326,060 (now only $7.2M behind the ACC)
Pac: $34,969,568 (now $33.5M behind the ACC)
SEC: $50,535,612 (still $18M behind the ACC)
XII: $33,992,000 (still $34.6 behind the ACC)

Nonetheless, I expect the Big Ten and SEC to make it up next year (plus a little). Not sure about the other two - they probably make it up, just not 100% sure.

So the SEC gets $6.8M for SC in the Outback nowl but only $6M for Bama in the Sugar/CFP ?
Do the Confs get an even split of CFP profits on top?

Yes. Approximately 55 mill per conference in CFP money goes to each P5 conference regardless of participation. The conferences determine how they split the money though. In the ACC its an even split after expenses.

I don't think the payout is correct on a lot of the 2nd/3rd

Dec 15, 2017, 11:17 AM

tier bowls...... I think the guy has used to the total payout that is supposed to be then split and used that figure for each team thus doubling the $ received on some bowls
