It took 20 years but I finally found a pic of dad's LST

I think I watched every History channel show or other
documentary about D-Day hoping I'd see LST-372.

And out of the blue 2 weeks ago I found a newsreel
clip from June 16, 1944 on the internet showing his
ship transferring a vehicle to a smaller landing craft.

I didn't realize the LST could open the doors in the
middle of the sea to offload vehicles.

Dad always talked of how the barrage baloons saved their
#### when a JU-88 had to swerve and the bomb it dropped
just missed the ship.
