Heart attack, or torn rotator cuff like me?

Nov 9, 2018, 1:55 PM

I'm going with torn rotator cuff.

One day I'll get this thing looked at. I'm predicting 2019 is the year of the surgery. Been nursing this thing for almost 3 years now.

To be clear, I haven't been nursing Tiggity's rotator cuff

Try bowling

Nov 9, 2018, 2:08 PM [ in reply to Heart attack, or torn rotator cuff like me? ]

I had a shoulder injury for about two years.. Did something to the cuff, was bowling and felt like I threw out my shoulder....turnt out it actually fixed it.

Bowling works pretty good.

Nov 9, 2018, 2:29 PM

It's raising the arm over my head that hurts. Can't throw a football overhanded. Underhanded is fine. Bowling worked pretty good last I tried it. But brushing my hair hurts.

But like that video, if I make a sudden jerking motion, like if I'm dropping something, it KILLS.

I can still carry heavy groceries (down by my side), and have decent strength lifting a LITTLE bit. Half way up, all bets are off.

Re: Easy fix

They put steel screws on each side then take little curtain cord and pull the joint back tight. Clean up the bone fragments, etc.
Couple months of young wemen stretching your joint (shoulder joint) and hot cold therapy. Another year of slowly building back up and you are 90% back.

I still have a little pain occasionally after 3 yesrs but I waited until I couldn't stand it any longer. Hard to sleep, etc. Almost ruint my other shoulder before I recovered. First couple weeks is little rough but be glad in long run.

Yeah, it occassionally wakes me. I'm a side sleeper too

So arm goes up and under the pillow. Doesn't really bother me unless I sleep on it some funky way. When that happens I wake up to the pain.

It's like we're the same.
