In honor of coots 50 yr ACC champ, Wait till next year HOF

Aug 13, 2019, 9:42 AM

In honor of coots 50 yr ACC celebration I was inspired by a previous post of our unavenged losses to produce the unavenged loss list for the coots. Maybe the coots should just stay away from teams from Charleston as their record is abysmal in that department.

Some notables: Auburn (8), Augusta YMCA, Charleston AA, Charleston AC, Charleston YMCA, Citadel(2), Clemson (5), FSU (7), UGA (4), Hawaii (2), LSU (6), UK (5), Villanova (4L, 1T), TAMU(5), Tulane (3)

Full list (40):

Interesting side note, not knowing what Charleston AC was

I did some research and found out it was Charleston Athletic Club and was made up of former college stars, including our own Banks McFadden. Here is the Gamecock write up of the game. I love the line, "Once, on a qb run, he eluded almost the entire Carolina team and went for 55 yards" Sounds like not much has changed.

There’s no way that is Banks McFadden. That article is dated 1908-1909 and Banks McFadden played in the late 1930s.

you're right. I saw McFadden and assumed Banks

:D :D :D

Augusta YMCA (The Village People will be happy their 'boys' beat them)
Georgia Navy Pre-flight (unfortunately, the Skycrackers beat Clemson in 1943 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1943_Georgia_Pre-Flight_Skycrackers_football_team)
North Carolina Medical College (guess they could treat the wounds they inflicted)

"When I was young, I was sure of many things; now there are only two things of which I am sure: one is, that I am a miserable sinner; and the other, that Christ is an all-sufficient Saviour. He is well-taught who learns these two lessons." -John Newton

It's very similar to a 'honey-do' list, it only gets longer.
