I thought he should be a WR in the NFL, but he is going to be a good QB in the NFL. Snap!

I'm not watching the game. What about 122 yards passing makes you feel that way?

He has rushed the ball well. Great arm. Surprisingly plays within himself and doesn't make stupid mistakes. You can just tell he will be a really god NFL QB once he develops. He is just a rookie.

Forgot to add. He played within himself and the Ravens in a position to take down KC.

His numbers look very pedestrian and KC has the 31st ranked defense. The jury is still out on Jackson IMO.

Yeah he needs to develop, but I see it in him to be the real deal. Maybe in 3 or 3 years he will be one of the better QB's for a bit if he stays healthy.

Staying healthy with taking 15+ shots by running is one my major concerns.

Oh snap! Give it some time, rushing QBs in the NFL end up hurt.

They are about to lose anyway. Jackson will never be anything more than a mediocre NFL QB. He lacks the between-the-ears talent.

Seen his Heisman speech and many interviews. If he reads at a 9th grade level I would be shocked. jameis Winston has the same problem but to a lesser extent and a lot more arm talent, and he is struggling. Jackson won't be playing QB 3 years from now. Note he is still not the starter. TD all you want, he still won't grasp the game at a high kevel.

His verbal skills will get way better. He is from rough area down the road from my town. He hadn't been that exposed to anything else. I have seen plenty of athletes that sounded ghetto and 15 years later they are giving great interviews. It's not like he will be asked to do calculas. Maybe his football IQ is already solid. His verbal skills will be fine. He will mature too.

Compare Watson today to Laidmar today. DW is head and shoulders above him.

Obviously. Deshaun was always more polished. Deshain is also in his 2nd year. I would rather compare Jackson to Trubisky last year.

A lot of QBs look good for a stretch early on. But then to date myself, the "tape always catches up to them". The good defensive coordinators get a few looks at them and figure out what to do. Once that happens, you are exposed. Develop or die... not sure if LJ is a developer, but he IS a freakish athlete who if he stays healthy would still get a paycheck.

I never expected him to take over for Flacco this year. A buddy of mine picked him up in fantasy a couple weeks before he took over and I told him he was crazy.
I’m glad to see him and Trubisky doing well after the way everybody hated on them on this board.

Flacco has been hurt. He should be the starter this coming weekend.
