Zion crystal balled to us 100% then signs w/ Duke says to me

... that Zion was expecting Clemson to pay big bucks and when it didn’t happen, he picked up the Duke hat and surprised everyone.
The fact we lost a guy who was a virtual lock until announcement day should convince most reasonable observers that Clemson was NOT cheating.
In retrospect, if Zion HAD actually signed with Clemson, we might now have real reason to be worried.

Our basketball program would have been shut down by now...
Not sure the team Zion signed with has even been mentioned...just the others that were recruiting him and didn't get him

I happened to agree with you and the fact he didn’t sign with us says nothing at all concerning whether or not he got paid. Could have just as easy be said that may be why HE didn’t commit to Clemson.
Easily be he has more integrity than smith has.

that reportedly other schools are offering to pay for. That doesn’t mean that a Duke is outbidding other programs. If you offered me $100,000 to play at ECU or nothing to play at Duke for a year, it’s actually a no-brained to take the coaching, facilities, competition, and brand development that goes with going to Duke over a quick paycheck. You only have to be broke for about eight months more.

Agree 100% 67.
WCCP and Tigernet are not the "Crystal Ball." The staff was feeding the WCCP staff with overly optimistic stories to make it seem like the staff was having recruiting success. While I'll concede that Zion looked at Clemson, him coming to Clemson made absolutely zero sense for his career.

Yeah, if that Clemson coach offered him money and he said no and signed with duke, wonder how much Duke paid ? Hope none of this is true.

Don't know all the facts here - but don't expect the NCAA to ever penalize cash cow Duke .... or UNC for that matter .....
