When you settle down with one, they have you

Technically, by "settle down" I mean a marriage license, not just a ring. No need to continue being cheery, nice, bubbly, or kinky in bed. Nope. When they get that marriage license, only then do you get to meet the real woman you chose. They have half your cool #### right off the bat, and they know it so they transform back into who they've always been that they hid from you because no one would want to marry a #####. You then try to make them a happy person again. Give them all your $$$. Buy them the house, the car, the clothes, furniture, whatever they want. You do the dishes, the cooking, the cleaning, grocery store runs, the laundry....Wait on them hand and foot trying to make them a happy person again but all you see is a #####. If they're good they'll make up some bull#### about why they've "changed" (blaming you of course), anything to keep the fact that the person you fell for WAS the change, not the default woman.

Eventually you grow weary and figure out they were really always a miserable person and the woman you fell for was fake (kudos for the effort though I guess).

Then you do the math and figure out whether leaving them would be worthwhile given kids, finances, and all.

So yeah...for men who don't know any better (read nice guys) it's a really effed up situation.

Results, of course, may vary.

Side note on the cool ####. They aren't attracted to your cool ####. They were attracted to the fact that you can afford "cool ####". The actual cool #### itself is not what impresses them. So if they get a ring, they can then re-purpose your money for what THEY think is cool ####. If you balk, they'll leave with half your $$$ your kids and buy their own cool ####. Either way....men lose.
