You Don't Know Football

I made a comment here about the defense not being ready to play cause they were busy looking to the sideline for instructions and I was attacked.
Most said I didn't know football.
They said Clemson handled it just fine, they called a timeout and made the correct call.
Years ago, the Michigan basketball team found themselves in a bad situation so they called a timeout against UNC.
Problem is they had no more timeouts.
The reason I mentioned it is you don't always have that "TIMEOUT".
I suggested Clemson, if found in the same situation in a championship game or any game, have a player on the field call the play. The other 10 players can keep their eyes on the offense while the player calls the play.
We are blessed that those back when they selected Dabo to be head coach didn't know football.
What I'm saying is, those who know football, never ever never pick a "POSITION" coach to be "HEAD" coach.
Never happen before Dabo, and hadn't happen since Dabo.
Count your blessings.
If someone had mentioned to Dabo before Alabama/Clemson #1, fake punts/kickoffs/field goals could cost you a championship, we would be 3-1 against Bama instead of 2-2.

They did know football that's why they chose Dabo. This isn't by accident. If you don't know football then you go for someone with a name in football how ever bad or washed up they may be. For example Mushamp .

Clemson has been doing that since 2012. Given Clemson’s defensive success and overall success since 2012, I’m not seeing evidence that it’s been a problem. A Michigan basketball game played in the 1990’s has nothing to do with a Clemson Football game in 2019. So what evidence are you offering that indicates that it is a problem?
