Who Counts As A College Football Betting Dark Horse? Everyone But Clemson And Alabama
College football guru Phil Steele picked Oklahoma and LSU as betting dark horses to win the CFP. Until somebody topples the Tide or the Tigers, even top-10 teams are huge underdogs.

I have written about college athletics in newspapers and online since 2004. I covered Southeastern Conference football for ESPN.com from 2011-2017 and have worked as a beat writer covering LSU, Georgia, Auburn and NCAA Division II Columbus State University. I was sports editor at the Athens (Ga.) Banner-Herald and covered college sports at the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer prior to joining ESPN.
