lucky I guess to still have one land line and more than one laptop to try multiple times with multiple wires to successfully get the update that started my problem done. Never did. And in the midst of talking to Apple, my land line cordless phone battery died.

Apple's chat and searchable tips were no help. Phone help was prompt, but still had to go through their checklist of what I had tried. After many hours, they're sending a prepaid box and will send me a new phone free.

All this for a known problem that they should have done a recall for.

I will say the last person I talked to at Apple was nice, helpful, and efficient.

I got into the bourbon a lil bit after the ordeal was done.

I'll try calling Valley iRepair just to see if they can resolve this today, thanks.
