Who starts at QB?

Sep 8, 2018, 11:28 PM

I can’t really explain it except that the offense just seemed to get stagnant when Kelly was QB. How did it appear on TV?

I thought Lawrence should have gotten another shot. Elliott didn’t do him any favors

Look at the stats and it will be easy.

KB had an outstanding game.

it is pretty obvious who just won the job.

Obvious? Seriously?

We were very lucky to come out of that game with a win despite having MUCH better talent at almost every position. If TAMU had gotten the 2 point conversion and we had lost in overtime, would it be obvious then??? Because that's EXACTLY what would have happened. Our defense was gassed. And you really think Kelly B would have won it on OT?

smh

Just as I thought he won the job, the old KB showed back up and couldn't hit an open receiver. Missing passes badly. The routes that give him the most trouble are when he's supposed to throw the ball before the receiver makes his cut and the ball is supposed to be there right as the receiver is turning around. He either throws it the wrong way or waits to late and by the time the ball gets there the receiver gets no yards after catching the ball as a result.

He can't put a game away and that scares me. So, NO! he hasn't won the job as far as I'm concerned.

Offense is stagnant because of play calling. Not who is under center

Yes - KB plays with poise and leadership. Very few mistakes.

Issues are with pay calling - not QB!

Why do you think the OC's call the plays like they do???

Sep 8, 2018, 11:42 PM

They have NO CONFIDENCE in him to make plays with his arm, and honestly, THEY'RE RIGHT.

We've had a lot of luck with this guy. Eventually it's going to bite us in the butt. Better to get Lawrence ready to play NOW. Give him at LEAST equal snaps with the first team O in practice. It's the only way we go undefeated this year.

Nor do they have confidence in the oline. Which at this point is completely legit. The oline and secondary are real concerns at this point.

how Tee Higgins doesn’t get the ball thrown to him

Sep 8, 2018, 11:37 PM

On every series is beyond me. He’s way to good and proved it on the three plays he got the ball. He should have 8-12 attempts a game easy...he’s better than every defender that guards him. With this team we should be moving the ball at will. Instead we playing this slow Counter run attack over and over.

Same as this game. They will both play almost all year if not all.

I'm admittedly on the TL "side of the fence", but KB was good tonight and deserves to start. I totally agree with the posts regarding play calling. It's way too conservative when TL is in the game, they do not use ETN enough, and the garbage QB keepers at the end of close games is really getting annoying
