My 10s Florida Seton Hall Utah St TCU
My 11s Minnesota Arizona St
Headed to Dayton NC State Temple Ohio St. St Johns
My Outs in Order Belmont Indiana Alabama UNC Greensboro Clemson Texas Creighton
Wildcards Memphis Oregon A 10 Winner Baylor
VCU is now an at large which mean ONE at large bid is now gone. Florida is definitely in with the win over LSU, another one gone St Johns headed out with a 2nd Atlantic 10 now making the tournament. Not a good day for the bubble teams.

I don’t understand TCU being in, much less as a 10 seed.

They are 50th in NET, 48 in KenPom, 20-13 overall, and 7-11 in the Big XII. What about their resume should get them in over Clemson or any other legitimate bubble team?!?

Not saying I agree with this but I know (and worked with) this is years past
TCU case.
Best conference No bad losses 12-1 Record non conference 35th SOS 3 wins in Quad 1 Wins over Iowa St, Texas, Early non-conference win over Florida Top 100 non conference over Fresno and USC. 10-0 against Quad 3 and 4
Remember conference record is never discussed or even part of the team sheet evaluated by the committee

Conference record is part of the committee's evaluation of a team. You may be right about TCU in over us idk. Just depends on how the committee looks at our Ls and how much nET matters.

Book that show 3, 4, or more games under .500 in conference doesn't disqualify a team from consideration? That only invites misplaced subjectivity into the proceedings, nothing more. The whole idea was to more to an 'evaluation process' that would improve selection over prior years. Instead, there's a list of programs that wouldn't even be discussed last season.

Playing Devil's advocate
Tell me how Clemson with a 1 -10 record in Q1 deserves it
9 wins in the ACC with 7 against very bad teams.
No quality nonconference wins
and losses to 17-14 Creighton and 17-16 Nebraska and 14-18 Miami in the conference deserves it.
The committee will look at it and say Clemson really has no marquee wins, had 11 chances to make a statement and lost 10 and had a FINAL chance to prove something this week and lost to a bad NC State when all it took was a win to erase the question.

but subjectively, you have to think the NET ranking is a snapshot of all the metrics put together, in a sense... If that’s the case, how can a team such as St Johns have “Quad 1 wins”, but a terrible NET?
Something is cancelling those out. What? We don’t know.
And no one knows how the committee will evaluate teams or what metrics they’ll use.

There is no point in having a NET if it isn’t going to be relied upon.

If all it takes is a few marquee wins, and bad losses, weak schedules, and inconsistent play aren’t negatives, then we might as well not worry about planning for the bad teams on our schedule and instead prepare for weeks for the big games.

I just really do not get how a team can go 6-12 in conference and even be considered no matter what their ooc record is. Yet many think tCU is in. I just do not get it. Yes we beat many teams in the bottom half of the acc but we won the games we are suppose to win and we were close in almost all of our quad 1 wins. I think they will look at that and say hey this team has had some bad luck but can play with quad 1 teams.
