... between two highly ranked SCAR and Clemson teams perhaps meeting for a spot in playoff ... would the “optics” of playing still be bad?

Would SCAR fans (and some sensitive Tiger fans) still be hyper-critical of the decision to play the game?

Would there be a strong hue and cry through the Palmetto State to cancel THAT game?

Of course. It would be pressure to reschedule. I think there may have been more pressure to cancel even if it wasn’t scar but a big ranked team.

Hypothetically ... rescheduling the game would be very difficult.

Meanwhile, tomorrow is going to be a nice fall Saturday afternoon.
