Question....Where to stay in San Jose??

Dec 24, 2018, 12:57 PM

I found a CHEAP hotel called the Flamingo Inn in SanJose. It looks like it is in a good part of town near bars and restaurants and near the stadium and airport. Anyone in here know anything about it? Is it OK in a good part of town?

TIA

It’s a 2 star hotel. Looks like you get what you pay for.***

It’s not a good hotel. Things are crazy expensive

here in San Jose. If you find anything on the cheap side, then it’s probably very bad!

Also, this hotel is not in the good part of town. It’s not crazy bad or dangerous like some of the other areas in San Jose but it’s not in a good part of town.

Thanks!!
Where do you recommend staying that is not too expensive.
Buying game tickets , airline , hotel , food etc puts us around $1,500 per person.
It gets expensive paying for a family.

Honestly, Silicon Valley is not known for good and affordable hotels

In downtown San Jose, most of the good hotels are located within 4-5 blocks of the Fairmont hotel.

If you don’t mind an hour of drive, try hotels in any of the east bay cities such as Pleasanton and Walnut Creek or even southern exurbs like Morgan Hill.

Airbnb is another option.

Good luck with your search!

What area would you recommend staying?

Would you rent a car or are there safe public transportation options to the stadium?
