we were reading the synopsis of her thesis at Michigan. I read about 5 or 6 lines and turned to my wife and asked,"Do you have a clue what she is saying?".....I got the bug eye look right back. Mrs. Spud is pretty smart, and regardless of what many think, I am not totally bereft of knowledge, but it was beyond my comprehension.I needed my son, a rocket scientist in his own right, to be there to interprolate.....

Saw one of my brother’s theoretical math problems one time, he was working on a PhD at Duke. He had this large blackboard in his living room, about 8ft by 4ft. There was not a single symbol written on that blackboard that I recognized or understood. Looked like a Martian had come into his house and solved the equation for cold fusion. Stupid smart people.

That is awesome Spud! I knew the first time I met you that your were one of those people that makes others a better person for knowing you. You and Mrs. Spud did a great job instilling work ethic and values in your family. Your should be very proud Spud’s.
Congrats to your daughter for her many successes and accomplishments!
My daughter met you just once but you had a big impact on her life. She went on to graduate from the best University which of course is CLEMSON 2015.
