Trump: people with Southern accents are dumb

For the last 30 years, Trump has made it known that he looks down on people who don't have an ivy-league degree and mocked people with Southern accents. Just look back at some of the things he said during his appearances on the Howard Stern Show. It's clear that in his heart Trump is an elitist who thinks very little of people from the South or the "uneducated." I'm not sure why these things Trump said about Sessions are a surprise to anyone:

"A near-constant subject of withering presidential attacks was Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Trump told Porter that Sessions was a “traitor” for recusing himself from overseeing the Russia investigation, Woodward writes. Mocking Sessions’s accent, Trump added, “This guy is mentally retarded. He’s this dumb Southerner. … He couldn’t even be a one-person country lawyer down in Alabama.”
