True Work Story

This guy I work with at a top Fortune 500 company that is really producing great results. He is not the top performer, but well respected and delivers results when called upon. He just left us for our largest competitor that constantly is getting it's asz kicked by us and if a perennial middling company with horrible culture.
I don't get why he left, he would have had plenty of opportunity to perform here and not have to go to some PoS company where maybe he will be top talent. I can't wait to take accounts from him.

Something about this scenario rings a bell. Not a work thing, but something else. Oh well. Maybe not.
