I just wanted to acknowledge what an awesome hire this guy turned out to be.

It seems that his coaching is top notch - as he’s taken a group of all stars along that line and helped them perform even better. Which seems more challenging (to me) than taking a bunch of hooligans and coaching them up to be decent. With highly skilled players I feel the coaching has to be equally superior in order to raise that players ability on the field even further.

On that note - take Streeter as well. This is a guy with such confidence in his ability to coach he personally recruits guys like DJ Ugilalie (wrong spelling) knowing he can raise that players ceiling even higher.

Back to Bates - another thing I’ve noticed is how involved he is in recruiting. I love that. I saw he is involved in some O line recruiting. Hopefully this will pay off big time, and we’ll land Putnam or Webb or what I’m really hoping which is both.

Just seems like a very highly valued hire and wanted to mention him.

Bates seems like a great coach. I thought Marion Hobby was outstanding, and admit to bring a little worried when he left for the Jags.

This is really a special time to be a Clemson football fan. Some of Dabo's best recruiting is keeping the staff together.
