The gap between Clemson and USC has never been larger

The betting line for the game on Saturday is 26.5, which is the largest in the history of our rivalry. The 2nd largest point spread ever was in 2016 when we were a 26 point favorite (and won by 49!). Last year it was only 13.5 and we won by 24.

This is Will Muschamp football.

And while this will be the 5th year in a row we've beaten SC, it is the 3rd year in a row where they've entered a game with absolutely NO HOPE of winning. That kind of dominance is demoralizing. I would be surprised to see more than a few hundred USC fans show up to the game. If you see a fan at the game wearing blue, or red or brown or anything BUT Orange/Purple or Garnet/Black then there is a very good chance they're a USC fan with a Gamecock shirt on underneath... ready to reveal it should they somehow be close at halftime.

So for Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for our current era of dominance. Our rival has turned into a gimme warm-up game that hurts our SOS. We ask ourselves, not if we'll win, but if we'll hang 60+ on them again. This is a glorious time. Be thankful.

All I know is that the Tigers will win this game. However, I am preparing myself for a tight 1st half of football. I see nerves from Lawrence early in every game. Last week we couldn't run it early. A 17-7 halftime score wouldn't shock me. But then..... 42-13 is coming!!
