The Hill thing

As my name implies, I had the extreme good fortune to have spent an idyllic childhood in Clemson. Growing up, when I went to a game, I always sat in section GG. That was Coach Howard's tongue in cheek name for the Hill.

Anyway, Memorial Stadium was not as large, but was rarely sold out in those days. The Hill was largely populated by by kids like myself. We had fun, whether the team was good or not. So, if students eschew the Green Grass section, why not open it to the local kids? Offer the tickets cheap and I believe that that section would be filled with enthusiastic fans 7 times every year.

tell grass is there. Don't really care to see it return to a green sledding hill as fun as it was. We look like Wake Forest when you can see Green.

in the 60's were from the kids sliding on the hill or the slope to the left of the north stands.

There was just something about a kid screaming bloody murder zipping down the hill on cardboard! lol
