The Citadel Silences 80K Clemson fans....

Nov 25, 2013, 12:48 PM

Never heard Death valley this quiet before. An eerie silence for sure.

Summerall Guard performance from Saturday's halftime.

I went out for this group when I was their. One of the toughest physical things I have ever done (they have sense eased up on that aspect of things.) I made all the physical challenges, but didn't get to do the performances. It's ok, as I still got to PT the new guys my Senior year... :)

Thanks for not spanking us worse than you did...

Congrats, and thanks for posting the video.

I was 3A1 and had no cuts during BVA training. It was definitely the toughest physical thing I have done.

3B6, fell out behind bond hall on the last lap of stripes day for a 1/2 cut (after not getting ANY water on the previous 10 miles). I can live with that.

My squad self destructed on cuts day, we had both papillon and max cuts in our squad and they weren't the same guy! (wasn't me either!) lol. It's ok, I got to put a lot of guys on moto the following year... (evil grin) :)

Lonnie,
We passed by the Guards on Calhoun Drive about 10:30 am and I made sure they heard my "Give 'em Hell, Guards!!!"
as we passed--an old PR tradition just as we step off on our routines,
I am privileged to know a Citadel Grad who has put three sons through there as well. Great people.
Thanks again for the kudos. The silence was in all due respect to their performance.
Have a Great Thanksgiving!!

Ron W
