Question when did we fill the open slot in the 2021 sched?

I noticed with the Georgia home and home announcement today that the 4th OOC game in 2021 shows SC State. Does anyone recall that being announced? I don't think I ever saw it.

I know it was a tough scheduling situation, but disappointing that we did not get a P5 opponent in that slot, even if it required a neutral site game.

I think the OP is referring to Tigernet's article earlier today announcing the Georgia home and home. In that article, it says SCSU is on the 2021 schedule.

They always schedule one instate opponent other than SCAR. That has been the schedule formula. Figured that was coming and UConn was the other opponent scheduled awhile back.

Odd thing to me is the Wofford game on Dec. 2 next year. Those games are usually first on the schedule or the week before SCAR.

Could be the reason Wofford was moved to a date that they had open ??
