Wore my Clemson shirt to pick up my Peachtree 10K bib

Jul 3, 2019, 1:37 PM

In walking through the vendor booths had a couple of Bama fans nicely engage me, one with a "Roll Tide" to which I responded the Tide was rolled, he said "You're right." Another was a young lady who said she was a Bama alumni and she was still sick about the game. I couldn't help myself and told her "You should be, that was brutal." She agreed she had never seen anything like it. No excuse making just on their way to acceptance (the final stage of grieving).

After over 50 years of running (walked onto the cross country team at Clemson) I realized I had never ran a race with my son so decided it was about time. Of course with 60,000 people and the winner will be done about an hour before I start, I don't know I can call it a race.

But there is plenty of oxygen

My driveway in Colorado is at 9130 ft. I doubt if I do much more than 12 minute miles, since the first day my son started training he tripped and broke his elbow.

The best part is a lot of bars give free beer to thr runners.

Shouldn't that be...

Wore one of my many Clemson shirts? Asking for a friend...

You are correct

I even have a singlet like we wore when I was running in school. I wore it when I did the Cooper River Bridge run, the first year over the new bridge.

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

That was the current one

I think it is the Ravenel. They had a table there today where you could sign up for this years race.
