Programs can you point out as paper giants besides Notre Dame? Southern Cal is first on my list and Tennessee second. Tell me yours. ??

it seems every preseason Okla. is in the top five. If they didn't have BM, no playoffs this past season. We lost DW and still earned a playoff spot.

It's simply prestige. They still base it off years past... Same goes for USC.

King, please splain to me how Ohio State and Oklahoma are paper giants? Ohio state played in a BCS game almost every year it ran from 1999-2013, clemson debuted in 2012. Ohio state won the playoff before anyone else and smaked around UsC in their NY6 bowl game this year, Clemson got embarAssed. If you’re basing this comment on 31-0, you’re an idiot. We didn’t play any better than that in our game this year (we just hit a couple of FGs where they missed them). Oklahoma isn’t far behind them in overall success either. If you don’t have something educated to say about the sport, just stick with watercooler talk.

Texas hasn't achieved the rankings of USC, ND and UM

recently, but every time they string together a couple wins they get ranked quickly.
If FSU doesn't get it together quickly they may start to earn that status.
UGA has been a paper giant for a couple decades, maybe they got rid of that title this year?

Texas started this past year off ranked in the Top 25... For what reason? I have no idea..... They had a medicore 2016, then come in 2017 ranked. It was all hype....
I was very close to saying FSU too. I agree with that

Talking about an unproven coach, Dabo still hasn't gotten all the praises that he has rightfully earned. He went from a WR coach to HC and in less than 9 years, he has won 3 ACC championships, been to the playoffs 3 times, won a NCG, and 2 years after becoming a HC in 2009 starting in 2011, he has won 10 or more games a season, and since 2015, he has won 12 plus games a season. He become HC in 2009 and had never been a Coordinator before, becoming a HC. Dabo has earned way more than he has ever been given credit for!!!! I don't think there has ever been a position coach promoted to HC and has done more than Dabo in as short of time than Dabo has done it!!!

I think that Oklahoma could be added to the paper list but, nothing in college FB should be on the paper list more than the Heisman Trophy!!! Every time I hear anything about the paper list in sports, the "Heisman" is the very first thing that comes to mind!!!

They have really Fcked that award up as a voter popularity award. Even if Trevor was voted to have it, I wouldn't feel that it was a big thing bc that award hasn't went to the best all around best player that helped their team the most to win, and that is what the Heisman was first meant to be for!!!
