The Heisman Trophy winner means nothing IMO. It’s a diva popularity contest that lost its true meaning years ago. It’s no longer awarded to the best player in college football it’s given to a QB most of the time or a RB. When was the last time a WR or TE or even a Defensive player won the HT?

My interest in the HT hype is so low that I did not even know it was awarded, given out to whatever to some flashy QB or a Bama player.

Most HT winners turn out to be bust in the NFL. If am TL or ETN I would not want it. Yes it would look good for Clemson and one up us on the coots. 2 NC and now a HT winner. That’s how I see the HT.

Well your response explains your knowledge of the HT. The trophy has zero prophecies as to whether the winner is an NFL quality player or not!!

It actually rests on idea of best player in college that drives his team to wins and won't win just because they are obviously great like Bama. Murry won because he is a great player but I would be happy if Tua won

I know what the HT is for. It for the best college football player over the coarse of the season. But it has become a team trophy. How many Clemson players do you feel should have at least have been in the conversation over the last 6 or 7 years. Not enough because we are not Bama, OSU , USC, OU or Nebraska.

I just don’t feel the HT represents what it once did.
