Can you imagine if all those home games from the 1930s-1970s had been at Clemson? Probably lopsided in the other direction.

1975 is a weird place to cut it off.

You should cut it off at 1974. Not only does it make the record 21-18-1 to Clemson, but 1974 is a more natural cut off because it marks the first time GT ever played in Clemson.

we had a 24-13 lead and blew it. The game ended in a 24-24 tie. I was 13 and it was with a heavy hear that I went back outside to play kick the can with about 10 other kids on the block. You know, no internet, no video games, just go back out and play until the street lights come on. I distinctly remember that game and doing that for some reason. It was 1976 and if we came close to winning in 75 or 76, I remembered it. All that and it just shows up as a 1 in the 20-18-1.

the game was at night, so that is why the memory of the kick the can game was so strong because we were playing it at night during and after the game. And back then, kids from the block just could do that at night in someone's yard and it didn't seem dangerous or anything. Street lights were already on that night. I just know that it was 24-13 rather late in the game and the game was, of course, in Atlanta. I'm sure a field goal and touchdown and two pointer, but don't know what order.

Why not go back one more year to 1974 and add another win

In 1974, Tech agreed to play in Clemson for the first time in years and years. Clemson won in a surprise 21-17. I was at that game. I remember hearing an old man a few rows back say if they were going to play like that, he might not go hunting the next Saturday. If he did pass up the hunting trip the following Saturday, I don't think he regretted it. The next Saturday Georgia came to the valley. Would lightning strike twice? Yes it would as the Tigers beat Georgia 28-24. You have to understand, in those days, Clemson rarely beat either of the two.
But back to my point, take it back to 1974 and add another win.

Was working the concession stands (graduated from selling programs). It irritated me to no end that more people were in line for concessions during these two games than actually watching the games. I missed them both, but heard the cheers (not for me, I assume). No problem seeing parts of the other games that year, but people would not stay in their seat and watch the big games. Guess the service was too good.
No Dippin Dots back then, though.

Fixed it as that makes the most sense to evaluate the series on. I didn't realize it wasn't until 1974 we started finally getting home games. Thought it was late 60's. I just arbitrarily picked 75 as a starting point. Bout to be 22-18-1 going on 32-18-1.
