and I thought I heard some remarkably positive (given the type of cancer) prognosis not long after it went public.

If Steve Jobs did not get the cure, there ain't a cure.

I do think he said he was doing surprisingly well.

Steve Jobs chose to delay a Whipple procedure,

instead believing that naturopathic remedies would cure him.

As with anything, the earlier you catch it, the better off you are.

Still hosting nightly, and the guy looks healthy.

Surprised me too, as I've had some family experience with pancreatic cancer.

SIL, who I poasted about too much, went 7-8 mo.

no long post again, but success vs pancreatic is rilly low, and time frame from diagnosis is generally 6 mo-1 yr.

this is 100% true... BUT

Jul 16, 2019, 9:12 AM

I used to be on the board of a halfway house, and there was an old black guy who had been pickled and stoned for his entire life and in his 50's found out he had pancreatic cancer. He sobered up and whipped it like a champ within a year. Some people do actually beat it... Never could figure that one out though- dude looked like he was the walking dead before he ever got it, and was late diagnosing it. One tough bass turd.
