Throwing at the guy just bc he’s been tearing you up isn’t baseball. Throwing at him if he did something disrespectful could be looked at as “its baseball” but that isn’t what happened here. Basically, he’s on a historic tear, the marlins suck , the pitcher sucks and they have nothing to lose... so they essentially throw at him bc he’s good.

and the reaction from Mattingly was evident that he did not instruct him to do that. Also, the body language from the catcher when it happened reveals a lot. The catcher was ok if Urena got his ### kicked for that.

I love the Braves but I knew that was coming. His lead off dinger the previous nite he flipped the bat and admired the shot. I’m not advocating that they hit him but when I saw that I said he’s going to get drilled. Listening last nite the announcers said it had been the talk of both club houses all afternoon. That’s not a coincidence regardless of how they portrayed their feelings.
