Down here it's raining cat's and dog's, and we have our bread, peanut butter, and milk. Never could understand why people get milk, especially if the power goes out.

There is an unwritten rule that a hint of snow demands we go to the store immediately and stock up on bread and milk. Not once, however, have I heard what the penalty will be if we don't but it must be severe because I've never heard of anyone being punished. I suppose we could call this a "crime stopper".

Very sage observation. Maybe we should require ID's for Milk and bread snow purchases to find "deep criminals" out there. you know the ones with two parking tickets from 1978, one who built a building in 1966 w/o a building permit, etc.
