Since Hunter Renfrow is gone,

Jan 18, 2019, 12:11 PM

who becomes clutch on third downs?

We've got a great stable of wrs that are all capable of stepping up to take that mantle.

"Since Hunter Renfrow is gone".............

it's going to take while for the reality of that statement to finally set in.

Amari for sure. Runs great routes and good hands. DK if he can become more consistent. Likely Brannon Spector over time.

I think #8 made his case...***

That was my first thought but I changed my mind because

Jan 18, 2019, 12:20 PM

Ross always is not a possession receiver that moves the chains. He's always making 50+ yard td catch and runs.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How much more do you want to move the chains than that?***

Renfrow's hands should be in the ROH...

Jan 18, 2019, 12:24 PM

...they are second to none.

Ross might give him a run for his money***

he was granted a 4 year extension***

Lots of options...

Jan 18, 2019, 12:39 PM

Trevion Thompson, T.J. Chase, Derion Kendrick, or Diondre Overton

Trevion is GONE! He was a valuable player for us and a ‘team’ guy but his eligibility is used up.

Did Thompson get granted a sixth year of eligibility?

Re: Since Hunter Renfrow is gone,

I could see the offense moving back to when Nuk or Sammy were targeted on the outside for every 3rd down.

Comeback routes, out routes, and back-shoulder fades will be impossible to stop with the fear of getting beat deep by Ross and Higgins.

I could also see the slot guy getting more balls on early downs to try to keep defenses honest.

That would be somewhat of a roll reversal from what we have seen the past 2 seasons, but I think it would be very effective.

WE DON'T NEED 3RD DOWN'S ANYMORE***

Re: Since Hunter Renfrow is gone,

I would think Amari for sure.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This might be a trick question

Jan 18, 2019, 1:26 PM

The answer might be Trevor Lawrence instead of one particular WR. I think he's capable of reading the defense and finding the right man on 3rd downs rather than relying on one guy to get open.

This won’t fully hit me until our first game and he’s not out, like many that I’ll miss this year. It’s always a mixed bag of feelings, happy for them but sad to see them go, but this year I’m truly going to miss them whether it is their play or their personalities.
