Smalls is from Seattle, Washington...

and the top player in the state of Washington. That's a LONG WAY from Tiger Town.

However, his teammate, Tre’Shaun Harrison, had been committed to Willie Taggart at Oregon, and just sign with Florida State.

Smalls is currently an FSU lean as well I believe.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I wouldn't classify him as a FSU lean. FSU had a lot of hype during the preseason that pretty much all evaporated once they had to actually play football. I think he profiles a little better as a 3-4 OLB and may not wind up being a guy that we pursue that hard if we can position ourselves well for Breese, Burch, and maybe Desmond Evans and/or Myles Murphy (who's visited at least 4 times).
