good article. I don't think many have a problem with him leaving, just his add-on statements of slap and fair shot.

Absolutely. That was my only issue at all with any of this. I think some of us even hoped he would if that was his desire. Would have loved to keep him, but he has earned the right to go do whatever he wants and get a best wishes from me. Still, while I dont love some of the comments, I have certainly made comments and given answers that a day, a month or a decade wish I had held back; its called youth. I dont knock him for it. Go Tigers!

Article is the best summation of events...

...I hope KB reads it and eventually understands that Clemson never mislead him and it was KB who misunderstood the "contract".

I agree with this story. I was in sales and although I was the top producer for many years there was always young guns trying to take that spot and sure enough it did happen and I had to accept it and just keep doing my best to try to get it back and I did that for periods of time.

No I have a problem with him leaving period. You can't run every time it gets rough. From school to school looking for a better deal.

The article says that KB "toiled behind DW4 for two years"
Sep 26, 2018, 3:56 PM

A fact check would reveal that KB was never actually the back-up QB to Deshaun Watson.
Nick Shuessler was always the first off the bench when Watson was finished.
Why?
The answer to this question would probably have spoken volumes if anyone had cared to make an honest assessment at the time.

Well, Nick Shuessler passed for 334 yards in 2016.

KB, passed for 48 yards in 2016.
You tell me who was the first one off the bench.

Did you read your own depth chart? 2nd team QB was Kelly OR Nick.
And did you bother to see 7 starters were first team ahead of a player with more seniority? That's not counting CW42 who took Pagano's job before the season ended.

No, it's not a fact. 2015 started with Nick ahead of Kelly

but Kelly passed Nick on the depth chart by the end of the year. Look at 2015 Syracuse and Wake games. Nick never took a snap in those games while Kelly did. In fact, Kelly was our leading rusher in the Wake game.
As that year ended with Kelly the first off the bench behind DW4, it was surprising to many why Nick was ahead of KB when the first depth charts came out in 2016.

KB was the back up as a true freshman, that's why he didn't
Sep 26, 2018, 11:59 PM
[ in reply to Are you sure about that, like really really sure? ] |

RS, but oddly enough, Nick was the backup the next year...When Watson fell on his shoulder vs Syracuse, it was Nick who replaced him and played most of the snaps.
