Great insight from announcer last night that Relief pitchers aren’t as aware about or trained enough

May 27, 2018, 8:03 AM

about holding a runner on base..especially runner on 1st.

This possible unawareness or lack of training to holding a runner on base by Relief Pitchers may have cost Clemson an easier run vs Noles in 9th when runner stole 2nd and was able to come home with a hit.

crappy ball and strike calls cost us Monte last night......

May 27, 2018, 8:11 AM

I think it you look at the review you'll see Monte was right, but if you argue with the bull you get the horns.

That did not cost us the game. The stolen base in the ninth was the game winning play. FSU is better at advancing runners and putting pressure on the defense than the Tigers and it showed in this game. Swinging for the fences isn’t always winning baseball.

Where did I say it cost us the game.....

May 27, 2018, 8:25 AM

I believe it you read correctly you'll see I never said that. Don't assume.

I was making a point not commenting on your analogy of the game. I simply said that the bad call did not cost us the game... and it didn’t!

Your comment was directly at me....

May 27, 2018, 11:03 AM

And it does say that directly Sir.

MY COMMENT WAS, IT DIDNT COST US THE GAME, it didnt

Read what you say after that. And don't misdirection again.

It sounds pitiful.

my Insight

May 27, 2018, 8:45 AM

Between the pitiful announcers, who I muted regularly, the totally incompetent umpire and Martin with his usual game stalling tactics it’s a wonder we only lost by one run! AND the elephant in the great NC park... empty stadium all week! That’s my “great insight”

They should never have allowed Francoer to announce the games. Obviously being a former Clemson recruit would make him hate the Tigers! I’m surprised that Wes Durham was as complimentary to the Tigers as he was. I thought the Raycom team was very good and fair. This game should not be played in the golden triangle but that’s not likely to change. The attendance would be better if the venue was in an area that attracted visitors more ..... such as Myrtle Beach or Atlanta etc. I expect the league was sure the beloved tarheels would be in the finals and fill the stadium, but fortunately, that didn’t become a reality.

Now the Tigers can return home to play for a while.
