Something to look for next season.

Dabo has instructed our OCs to put in more offensive plays using 4 wr sets, hoping to create more matchups in our favor by spreading the field a bit more and using our stud play makers. This might also help if we lose Galloway to suspension.

You can look for what we've seen for five or six years now.

Throughout that period I saw Dabo dragging his offensive feet all season to build drama and force situations where everyone who played felt like the game was on the line every play, starters and backup alike. He always played the bench early and rotated them in and out throughout the game. Go check out how many we played this season and compare that to Bama. Bama's max was about 45 players while we always worked to our four deep.

After starting this last season with 4 games which seemed to be with the same goal we started a rookie QB who needed to exercise his command of the playbook. Little did any of us, and perhaps our coaches know that Trevor would perform as he did. That's the difference between last season and the five or so which preceded it.

What to expect next season? A heavy dose of backups to build depth in the latter part of the regular season, for prospective injuries to our starters and of course the playoff. Business as usual.

You speculate on whether or not we'll spread our wings? Imo, we can continue to confound our defense by intentionally putting them out of position as we did against the Coots but there is no way to confound our offense. No matter what the call if Trevor has the power of option our wings will furl broad and strong. All Dabo can do is take him out of the game or call for him to take a knee.

Yes, at times we'll run every play our OC's and Dabo can imagine just to try the waters.

Taking him out of the game? When TL runs it, Nancy Tate and others will try the Bama method:

And ACC refs won't even throw a flag. Again.
