Dabo currently 2nd among active coaches in winning pct

As long as Urban is retired, Dabo has the 2nd highest career winning percentage among all active head coaches that qualify (Kirby Smart, Lincoln Riley and Josh Heupel don't have enough experience to qualify).
Chris Petersen is not first at .808 with Dabo 2nd at .795.
Saban is 3rd at .789.

If Dabo wins the first 11 Peterson would have to lose at least 3 of this first 11 for Dabo to pass him. It might take a couple seasons but I bet Dabo will eventually pass him.

By my calculations, Dabo's winning percentage would be .8089 if we start 11-0 next year. If Petersen starts off 9-2 over the same period, his win pct would be .8087.
If I had to predict, I would predict Washington to either go 9-2 or 8-3 in this same time frame since they will be replacing QB Jake Browning and RB Myles Gaskin and will have games against USC, Stanford, Oregon and Utah during that time frame.
Regardless, I would wager that Dabo will pass Petersen at some point within the next two years.

and Dabo has only coached in P5 while Petersen coached a good chunk in the MWC

a blue blood program. He's easily a top 5 coach in my book, even without a title.
Then again, the Clemson program Dabo took over wasn't in any better shape than the Washington program Petersen took over and Dabo has built it into at least the 2nd best program in CFB right now. I think the only advantage we might have over Washington is proximity to recruiting hotbeds.

That would only be true if Peterson were no longer coaching. As long as he's coaching, he'll have to lose a few games for Dabo to catch him.

Admittedly, I was making the assumption that Petersen would lose at least 2 games over that same time frame, which would put Dabo just ahead of Petersen by a mere .0002 points.
